Ageing is the strongest factor for Alzheimer's disease (AD).
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia and significantly reduces cognitive ability, which can lead to memory loss and impaired daily activities. In the final stages of the disease, patients lose the ability to react to their environment, continue conversation, and control their movements.
The direct cause of AD is neuronal death, and it is impossible to revive dead cells by any treatments. However, in addition to being temporarily activated, it may be possible that surviving neurons could be improved in the integrity of neurons after AD onset on receiving a disease-modifying treatment. A more ideal strategy would be to restore the integrity of surviving neurons with disease-modifying therapies, even after the onset of AD.
Inflammation and oxidative stress are recognized as the main causes of Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, and other neurodegenerative diseases.
As a new type of medical therapeutic gas, hydrogen is now recognized to be the most potent antioxidant to reduce inflammation causing oxidative stress by selectively cutting down the most harmful free radicals such as hydroxyl and proxynitrite. In short, Hydrogen therapy exerts multiple functions such as anti-oxidation, anti- inflammation, anti-cell death and stimulation of energy metabolism. Thus, H2 may have the potential for a multi-functional drug by itself. It can ameliorate neuronal damage, maintain the number of neurons, prolong the lifespan of neurons, and ultimately cuts down the progression of disease.
Highlights:
- Hydrogen inhalation therapies may help manage AD, easing symptoms and slowing progression.
- Hydrogen inhalation therapy in AD: Inflammation, energy regulation, inhibition of selective free radicals prevents neuronal damage.
- Hydrogen inhalation therapy's no known side effects make it a complement to AD treatment.
- Hydrogen therapy delivered through inhalation is a the easiest, fastest, effective and promising methods.
Hydrogen gas is not a foreign substance, but it is natural to the human body. Hydrogen gas provides the body with the important selective antioxidants to eliminate the harmful free radicals which are responsible for the aging process and disease development.
The FDA and the clinical papers validate that hydrogen gas is 100% safe, has no side-effects whatsoever, can never be overdosed and is safe.
